Pre Listing Inspection

Pre-Listing/Seller’s Home Inspections

Trying to sell a house without getting it inspected first is a recipe for disaster. That’s because the inspector who does visit the property on behalf of an interested buyer is virtually certain to find several issues that you’re unaware of. This can make it much harder to close a deal, especially for a good price. Arm yourself with knowledge by booking a Seller’s Home Inspection so that you can disclose or repair any defects.

New Construction Inspection

New Construction Inspection

Your newly constructed home is finished. Congratulations! Now it’s time to verify that everything was completed properly. I’ll inspect the house to look for any areas that were missed, along with identifying any construction short cuts that could cause you major problems later on.

New Construction Phase Inspection

New Construction Phase Inspections

Everyone dreams of having a home built just for them. But this dream can turn into a nightmare if you don’t ensure that the construction team stays on target. Take advantage of my 20+ years of construction surveying and 12+ years of home inspection experience to keep things moving in the right direction. I’ll visit the construction site multiple times to make sure the contractors are doing exactly what’s expected of them.

11 Month Warranty Inspection

11-Month/Builder’s Warranty

A new house typically comes with a warranty against manufacturing defects that is good for one year. Don’t let that time period expire without having a professional inspect your home. With this service, you’ll receive a thorough inspection that’s focused on areas of the home that may be eligible for free repairs via your warranty. I’ll report any issues to you so that you can file a claim before time runs out.

Re Inspection

Re-Inspections

Every buyer would be prudent to get a re-inspection before they finalize their purchase. After all, it’s always possible that something important from your home repair addendum was missed or even purposely skipped. Protect yourself and your financial investment by booking this home inspection service.

Wood Burning Appliances

A wood burning appliance inspection carried out by a Wood Energy Technical Training (WETT) certified professional can be arranged at the same time as your home inspection.

Most insurance companies require inspection of wood burning appliances be conducted by a WETT Certified professional to determine if there is evidence of any potential problems with the installation of the wood-burning appliance or with the installation of the chimney. There are currently three (3) levels of classification for WETT Certified professionals:

Level 1: WETT Certified Visual Inspector

  • Basic visual inspection of the readily-accessible parts to determine if the system meets current regulations.

Level 2: WETT Certified Chimney Sweep

  • Cleaning, servicing and maintenance of the chimney system.

Level 3: WETT Certified Technician

  • Installation, servicing, inspection, and maintenance of the wood burning appliance.

In order to provide clients with the highest level of inspections, for both your home and wood burning appliances, we use the services of a Level 3 WETT Certified Technician. The highest level of certification provides the most thorough wood burning appliance inspection for your safety and peace of mind.
